The mission of Mercer Landmark Inc. is to provide a sound financial entity in which producers can invest in and expect a return on that investment. The entity will in turn then provide markets and services to its owner patrons that they would otherwise not have access to as individuals. The above will be achieved by the entity while keeping the best interest of its employees and the environment in mind.
Heath Barnes was named President/CEO of Mercer Landmark and started this new role early January 2019. Heath is excited to lead the Mercer Landmark Cooperative and has the experience and determination to successfully continue to move the team in a positive direction. He is dedicated to overseeing the new opportunities and growth before him as the St. Henry facility is being completed. Heath enjoys working among the Mercer Landmark leadership team as they provide outstanding customer service at every branch and location while providing strong industry expertise.

What started as a small group of Ohio farmers has grown into a thriving co-op reaching across Darke, Defiance, Mercer, Paulding and Van Wert Counties in Northwest Ohio.
No. Anyone can sell to and purchase from the co-op. No membership is required.
A co-op is established by a group of people or businesses to provide its members with products, services and expertise.
We do what’s in the best interest of the member vs. in the interest of the business. The board’s purpose is to represent the members and to keep Mercer Landmark profitable so it can continue to meet member’s needs. If we are financially successful, the members are financially rewarded through patronage.
Annually, the co-op board determines how much of the profits must be retained for the future growth and success of the cooperative. The remaining profits are distributed to the members as patronage. Each member’s share of the patronage is based upon his/her purchases from the co-op.The co-op board determines what percentage of the patronage is paid in cash and what percentage is paid in additional ownership in the co-op (called “equity).
