Mercer Landmark is pleased to announce the opening of the new MPS Feed Mill in St. Henry, OH. The new facility is a state-of-the-art mega feed mill capable of producing 5-6 semi loads of feed per hour. The feed produced at MPS Feed will be high quality and high volumes – offering customers a quicker and more efficient process for obtaining feed.
To celebrate the opening, Mercer Landmark held a private ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on March 7th, 2020 for employees, their family members, local congressmen and partners in the morning, followed by a public open house that afternoon from 2 – 4 PM. The public open house was led by Mercer Landmark team members who provided facility tours and explained the process and what the new Feed Mill will provide to customers.
MPS Feed – Processes and Structure
Mercer Landmark employees shared that MPS Feed will have fully automated receiving systems. These systems have dedicated inbound and outbound scales and highspeed receiving systems to provide a streamlined and efficient delivery experience to MPS bulk ingredient suppliers. The bulk handling at MPS Feed will consist of application-specific conveyance systems from many of the top equipment providers to the feed industry.
Cutting Edge Technology Improves Quality of Feed + Turnaround Times
Processing and mixing systems at MPS will utilize cutting edge grinding and mixing technology to consistently provide the highest quality feed to Mercer Landmark’s partners and customers. The new onsite loadout system has been designed with substantial handling capacity. The system is fully automated with two bays. Each bay has its own dedicated truck scale to provide the shortest possible turnaround times, as well as a consistent and reliable service to both partners and customers alike.
We are thrilled with the opening of this state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, which will better enable us to be the best business partner to our clients/partners.
Jerry Laffin, Mercer County Commissioner who attended the open house on March 7th, stated:
“I am very honored to be able to attend the opening of the facility here in St. Henry for MPS Feed.
