System Improvements Update: Feed & Grain Capacity Expansions

January 19, 2026

I want to share an update on a couple of exciting projects that represent significant improvements to our system and position us well for continued growth.

St. Mary’s Feedmill Project Update (MPS Feeds LLC)

As many of you know, the St. Mary’s feedmill project—an expansion of MPS Feeds LLC—is well underway. This facility will be capable of manufacturing both poultry and swine feed and is a key investment in supporting continued growth across our feed business.

Progress on the project remains on schedule to meet the planned spring 2027 opening timeline. The base of the feedmill has been poured, and we are on track to see the concrete slip-form construction begin in early spring. These milestones represent important steps forward and reflect the strong coordination and effort behind this project.

Once complete, the St. Mary’s feedmill will play a critical role in supporting ongoing layer expansion and anticipated growth in the swine feed market. It will also provide much-needed redundancy within our system. Currently, the St. Henry MPS Feeds LLC mill is operating at capacity, and any significant outage would create challenges in meeting customer demand. The additional capacity at St. Mary’s will give us greater flexibility, reliability, and confidence in serving our customers without interruption.

Latty Grain Facility Expansion (Mercer Landmark)

The second project is an exciting investment on the Mercer Landmark side of the business. We will be adding approximately 3 million bushels of storage and additional drying capacity at our Latty facility. This expansion will allow us to better serve our customers by improving speed, space, and drying capacity at our primary train-loading facility in the northern region.

This investment strengthens our grain handling capabilities, improves efficiency during peak harvest periods, and enhances our ability to offer competitive pricing to our producer members.

Looking Ahead

Both of these projects will have a positive long-term impact on our producer members. Expanded feed manufacturing capacity supports continued growth and system reliability, while enhanced grain storage and drying capabilities improve service and market opportunities. Together, these investments reinforce our commitment to building a strong, dependable system that serves our customers well into the future.

Thank you for your continued support as we move these important projects forward.
